GraphSyn first developed and produced graphene in 2016.

Graphene Synergy R&D (“GraphSyn”) is a commercialisation, and graphene production and R&D (research and development) arm of our corporate shareholder, GI Tech Nano R&D Centre Sdn Bhd (“GI Tech”).

Since 2018, GI Tech and GraphSyn have MADE GRAPHENE WORK AMAZINGLY in enhancing nickel metal hydride NiMH supercapacitor batteries for commercial / industrial applications, SAVING DIESEL VOLUME CONSUMPTION by up to 70%, ACHIEVING SIGNIFICANT ENERGY COST SAVINGS WHILST MATERIALLY REDUCING THE CO2 EMISSION for road tyred gantry (RTG) cranes at sea ports, even outperforming significantly higher cost hybrid RTG cranes.

Probably the WORLD’S FIRST GRAPHENE ENHANCED NiMH SUPERCAPACITOR INDUSTRIAL BATTERIES FOR RTG CRANES, and we are co-developing them now for other applications and sectors.

Graphene is a disruptive technology; one that could open up new markets and even replace existing technologies or materials.

GraphSyn’s graphene technology that works

Using proprietary know-how, we developed and produced graphene since 2016, and we co- developed in 2017 probably the WORLD’S FIRST GRAPHENE- ENHANCED INDUSTRIAL NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE (NIMH) SUPERCAPACITOR BATTERIES (“GraphSyn Super Batteries”) for road tyred gantry (RTG) cranes with our battery manufacturing business partner in China.

GraphSyn’s graphene and GraphSyn Super Batteries were successfully live-tested in 2018 via hybrid electrification conversion of a RTG crane in an international Hong Kong sea port, and have been further live tested under GraphSyn with RTG cranes at sea ports in Malaysia in 2024, with an average monthly SAVINGS IN DIESEL VOLUME CONSUMPTION of up to 70%.

Today, besides producing graphene, GraphSyn offers HYBRID ELECTRIFICATION CONVERSION SYSTEMS AND SERVICES, with the GraphSyn Super Batteries at the heart (“GraphSyn Energy System”), commencing with RTG cranes at sea ports, with active plans to expand into other high value applications.
