Graphene - using its proprietary nanotechnology expertise, GraphSyn developed graphene, and have since successfully co-developed the GraphSyn Super Batteries with a China battery manufacturer as our business partner. Using graphene as an enhancing factor, the GraphSyn Super Batteries have super-fast charge, discharge plus power storage characteristics.

Examples of some potential high value areas of application for graphene enhancement development on existing materials we may target:

  • Graphene enhanced filter materials for natural gas or water/waste water treatment and in removal of ions from water (using graphene with nanometer) - lower cost than for e.g. conventional reverse osmosis techniques.

  • Graphene enhanced composites – combining graphene with existing products. For e.g., (i) enhancing higher strength to weight ratios such as in epoxy composites resulting in stronger and stiffer components than epoxy composites using a similar weight of carbon nanotubes; or (ii) eliminating the need for higher cost materials and complicated manufacturing techniques needed for conventional solar cells – by using graphene as an electrode, etc..

The GraphSyn Super Batteries are our proprietary graphene enhanced rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NIMH) supercapacitor industrial batteries with super-fast charge, discharge plus power storage characteristics. GraphSyn’s GRAPHENE-ENHANCED LITHIUM IRON PHOSPHATE BATTERY

Prototype graphene-enhanced LIP battery demonstrates its fast-charge capability (above 90% in 8 minutes). Battery capacity maintained at above 80% after 1,500 cycles. Continuing research is to be undertaken to progress further the development cycles (stability and consistency improvements).

GraphSyn’s GRAPHENE-ENHANCED NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY

With GraphSyn’s produced graphene incorporated into the nickel metal hydride battery – it was observed to be capable of being fast-charged to 80% capacity in 2.4 minutes.
